Teacher Training

Elizabeth co-created her first 200-Hour Teacher Training with Yoga Effects in Midtown Manhattan in 2006. In 2008 she founded B Yoga NYC, expanding her Teacher Training Program to include 200-Hour, 300-Hour, Prenatal and Therapeutic Trainings. Now, as a member of the Yoga Works Teacher Training Staff she leads 200-Hour Trainings in New York City. She is also a mentor and workshop leader for the Yoga Works 300-Hour Professional Program. She finds great joy in helping students transform into teachers so that they may share the practice of yoga with others.

Elizabeth incorporates elements of Buddhist philosophy, shamanism and a practical exploration of the Yoga Sutras into her teacher training courses

“Elizabeth is the type of yoga instructor/trainer that reminds you of what makes yoga so special. She is smart, compassionate, patient and an expert in meditation. If that’s not enough she’s funny to boot. Working with her is a spiritual and physical process that challenges you on all fronts. Elizabeth has traveled the world studying yoga and brings this unique perspective to each part of the yoga journey.”
– Marcy Bloom, past Yoga Works 200-Hour Teacher Training Grad

“I deeply appreciated being trained by Elizabeth to teach and practice yoga, and can only hope to be half as effective as she is. Her instructions to our training class were precise and focused, but not overly restrictive. Her feedback was clear, clever, loving and inclusive, clearly drawing on and reflecting her extensive and dedicated study of yoga and working with students.”
– Robin Lloyd, Yoga Works 200-Hour TT Grad
